Hello! Who are you and what are you working on?
Hello, my name is Arash, I am a co-founder of Forklog Crypto Coworking Space. This is a first and only coworking space for cryptocurrency enthusiasts and blockchain startups in Poland.
What’s your backstory and how did you get the idea?
It started almost a year ago. I was fascinated by the idea of cryptocurrencies. When Victoria (my co-founder) told me that she wants to open a co-working space for Blockchain startups, I immediately jumped in and decided to join her in this journey. My goal was to bring all the like minded people under one roof and build the local community of crypto enthusiasts.
How are you doing today and what does the future looks like?
Today, I am focusing on my business 100%. We expanded our premises and got some amazing members from the crypto community. I plan to offer co-living opportunities to our members as well since we have a lot of travelers and people coming from other cities to visit us.
Is it only for hardcore crypto enthusiasts? Or “normal” people can join as well?
We are open to everyone. We have members who knew nothing about crypto, but were curious to learn more. We welcome newbies and pros alike. The most important is being positive and respectful to other members opinions.
Was it easy to start a crypto coworking space? How is the community building process going?
It’s not an easy job. Crypto community is extremely scattered in Krakow. We organize a lot of events to bring the real cryptopreneurs and enthusiasts together. We also provide our members with networking opportunities. It is common to see when our members partner with each other, or become clients of each other, or bring more business to each other. We are building a real community where everybody contributes. There is no leader, everybody is valued and important.
Do you invest in cryptocurrencies? If yes, in which ones.
Not really.
So you don’t invest into crypto? How come?
I don’t have a need for it. But I try to use cryptocurrencies as much as i can in my daily life because i want to help cryptocurrencies enter mainstream and become a normal thing. Some of our members pay us with cryptocurrency. I am also doing mining and affiliate marketing which helps me get crypto without spending my fiat.
That’s smart. And what are you favorite tools for managing your crypto assets?
GreenAddress – for Bitcoin wallet.
LocalBitcoins – for buying and selling Bitcoin.
What have been the most influential books, podcasts, or other resources?
I use Youtube as my main source of content since you can get the latest from industry. For example i follow Andreas Antonopoulos, Ivan on Tech and many others.
Any advice for other cryptopreneurs who want to get started or are just starting out?
I would say try to familiarize yourself with cryptocurrency and Blockchain which is the technology underneath any cryptocurrency before you jump in and go crazy. Unfortunately everyday we see people lose their money just because they didn’t had enough knowledge and made very basic mistakes.
If not crypto trading/investing, what is the other way to become a cryptopreneur? Any business ideas you could share?
Affiliate marketing is a great way to earn cryptocurrency. You could also become a smart contract developer or an ICO marketer.
And maybe a crypto coworking space?
Hahaha. Coworking space itself won’t bring you much money, but it definitely helps establishing connections with interesting people and potential business partners.
